“I can’t say enough about the guys at West Dummerston Builders, not only did they do a phenomenal job renovating our home after a fire but they were consistently personable. They listened to all of our ideas and then brought them to life. Their finish carpentry is above par and between Adam and Ken they have years of knowledge that made the project from start to finish smooth and painless for us. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so!”
“In the fall of 2006, WDB Construction was recommended to us by Cotton Design Associates of Newfane to undertake interior design renovation projects at our retirement home in the western section of Brattleboro… From the first meeting with Hal & Ken we knew we had made the right choice. During the next 12 months, that first impression would grow and become reconfirmed again and again… They kept us updated on progress, often by long distance communication between Brattleboro and Princeton. Jean and I have worked with several contractors during our 40+ years of marriage and rearing a family in multiple locations. We have never experienced the depth of professionalism and pride in their craft exhibited by Hal and Ken. This attitude extends to every member of the WDB team and their management of suppliers and sub-contractors with whom they choose to work. We heartily recommend and would happily work with WDB again, and actually hope to do so in the near future with additional improvements to our Brattleboro, VT home.”
Vernon Union Church
“When we at the Vernon Union Church were considering installing a handicap lift in our building we made contact with several builders. Most of those we talked with were quite apprehensive to get involved as our building is over a century old and defies some of those characteristics that builders like to work with such as plumb, level and square. We found you and your team ready and willing to accept the challenge and to work with the company we were purchasing the lift from. There are several things that we appreciated about the manner in which you and your workers conducted your work. One of the most outstanding of which many members of the congregation made mention, was the effort put forth to be as clean as possible. Even with tearing out plaster and lathe and working with drywall, the dirt and dust we had to clean up in preparation for our Sunday services and other activities was minimal. Tools, materials and conditions that could be a potential danger to children were always taken care of when the building was going to be used. If WDB ever needs a reference for someone needing a shaft built for a handicap lift feel free to have them contact the folks at Vernon Union Church.”
4 Season Sun Room
“Jack and I are writing to let you know how thrilled we are with our new sun room. It is exactly what we hoped it would be. We were so surprised that, despite high building costs, you came in under budget. Thank you
I want you to know your many qualities that made me feel so comfortable working together. You always kept us informed. We knew what to expect and when. Every man on the crew was courteous and friendly. Promptness was a value you all adhered to. The quality of your work is superb. And what attention to detail. It is clear that you all take pride in doing your very best. Lastly, you held all your sub-contractors to the same high standards. When someone wasn’t here on time, Hal was on the phone inquiring about the delay.
We look forward to working together again on our next project after the New Year…
